First time home buyer in Kent

Hey everyone, Been living here since 2019. With a population of 135K, Kent is a mid-size city. It's a a mid-size city city with about 135K people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
