Pros and cons of Kermit after 13 years

Been meaning to ask this. Homes are going for about $119,300 on average. It's a a small town city with about 5,681 people. Household incomes average around $90,181 in Kermit. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Worth the trade-offs? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I've lived in Fairview for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:

- Friendly community, easy to meet people

- Nice parks and green spaces

- The cultural scene scene is tough

The downsides:

- Not very walkable outside downtown

- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
