Alright, Household incomes average around $95,000 in Knik-Fairview. Median household income is $95,000, which feels pretty solid for the area. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Dallas it's solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Westside. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in marketing. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

I'm a marketing manager and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Seattle about 11 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is average.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the Springfield side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.
