Best neighborhoods in Lake Grove

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a nurse at the local hospital and With a population of 11,050, Lake Grove is a small town. The suburbs are where most families end up. Worth the trade-offs? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I'm retired and Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Anyone in a similar situation? Appreciate any input. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Poverty rate is 1.9%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $550,700 on average. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
