Anyone regret moving to Lake Holiday?

So, The median home value here is around $242,200, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 1,072, Lake Holiday is a small town. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Thanks in advance! Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Houston it's challenging.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Sunset. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in government. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'm a lawyer and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.
