Lake Zurich in the winter -how bad?

Hello, We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Lake Zurich sits at 39.9 per 100K. Poverty rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. With a population of 19,727, Lake Zurich is a small town. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What are your go-to spots? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is tough. Tons of great farm-to-table places. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The school system is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
