Hey, We're a young couple and It's a a small town city with about 11,669 people. With a population of 11,669, Lakeland Highlands is a small town. The median home value here is around $352,000, which seems about average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I overthinking this? Thanks in advance! The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
