Is Lakeview getting better or worse?

Hey folks, I'm a 43-year-old software engineer and The unemployment rate is 7.3%, which is concerning. You can expect to pay around $993 for rent here. The median home value here is around $200,300, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Lakeview sits at 162.0 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Anyone in a similar situation? TIA! Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
