Lebanon quality of life -am I missing something?

Hey folks, Military spouse here. You can expect to pay around $1,210 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thoughts? The weather takes some getting used to.

I'm a software engineer and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely decent and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (East) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
