Unpopular opinion about Lihue

OK so With a population of 7,847, Lihue is a small town. The unemployment rate is 0.7%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The healthcare is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Came here for family and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The traffic is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
