Cheapest neighborhoods in Lincroft?

OK so We're a young couple and Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What would you do? Thanks! It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'm a contractor and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is average and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Uptown for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals
- The outdoor recreation scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in finance. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much growing but now it's solid.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great craft beer places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Phoenix about 1 years ago. The main reasons were school and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is improving.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a pharmacist, 53, moved here 3 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in Fairview and North, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Low crime in most neighborhoods
2. Active local events and festivals
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Not a lot of cultural diversity
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The cultural scene situation is established and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Fairview: Great for singles. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- North: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $60K-$120K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
