Rent vs buy in Logansport -what makes sense?

Hey folks, We're a young couple and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $46,363 in Logansport. The median home value here is around $84,600, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 13.1%, which is around average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Am I wrong here? TIA! The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Boston it's tough.
