Hey, Rent is about $820/month for a decent place. With a population of 1,463, Lone Oak is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Let me know your thoughts. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Came here for school and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The nightlife is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
