Longtime lurker here, Poverty rate is 4.6%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 77,350 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 5 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is solid.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much stable but now it's excellent.
