Couple moving to Mabank from out of state

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $61,011, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 4,481, Mabank is a small town. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community vibe is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I work in legal here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is improving. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
