Planning a move to Madison -neighborhoods?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but The median home value here is around $367,900, which seems about average. It's a a smaller city city with about 58,335 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Madison sits at 323.0 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Does this match your experience? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to LA it's better than expected.
