What's it really like living in Madison?

Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $367,900, which seems about average. Rent is about $1,375/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 58,335 people. Homes are going for about $367,900 on average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Fairview area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.
