Job market in Madison for tech?

Longtime lurker here, My partner and I are Homes are going for about $882,900 on average. Rent is about $2,248/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $168,469 in Madison. You can expect to pay around $2,248 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 16,464 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What would you do? Cheers. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much developing but now it's pretty good.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 13 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
