Maplewood vs Boston -which is better?

Hey, Crime rate is something to consider -Maplewood sits at 320.7 per 100K. With a population of 8,154, Maplewood is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Is this normal for Maplewood? TIA!

The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great seafood places. it was the best decision I ever made.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- The weather scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..
