Weekend activities in Marion?

Hi all, With a population of 13,641, Marion is a small town. You can expect to pay around $1,058 for rent here. Poverty rate is 6.1%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What do you all think? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The weather is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..
