Moving to Marion for work -advice?

First post here. Been living here since 2018. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here?

I'm a software engineer and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.
