I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The walkability is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 14 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from San Diego about 14 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is improving.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
