Moving to Menifee for work -advice?

Anyone else feel this way? Poverty rate is 7.1%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,052/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What would you do? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Raleigh about 11 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is excellent.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in engineering. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
