Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm retired and Rent is about $1,293/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 89,766 people. Household incomes average around $59,938 in Merced. Crime rate is something to consider -Merced sits at 644.0 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Is this normal for Merced?
