Is Milwaukee a good place to retire?

My wife and I are planning to retire in the next few years. We're considering Milwaukee because of lower cost of living. Weather is moderate — about 50F average.

Cost of living looks pretty reasonable. How's the healthcare situation? Any retiree communities?

Don't sleep on Old Town. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Rent tip: look for places in fall. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Check out the Downtown area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.
