We're a young couple and Homes are going for about $172,000 on average. Household incomes average around $51,888 in Milwaukee. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
