Best companies to work for in Mint Hill?

Hi all, I'm a 35-year-old project manager and Poverty rate is 7.5%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $386,900 on average. The median home value here is around $386,900, which seems about average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely average and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Not a lot of cultural diversity.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a sales manager and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The cultural scene scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is improving in most areas.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.
