Is Miramar Beach getting better or worse?

My family moved here when I was a kid. Rent is about $2,097/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 70--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $97,159 in Miramar Beach. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What would you do? TIA! The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in Eastside for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- The public transit scene is average

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..
