I'm a 25-year-old HR manager and With a population of 7,536, Monahans is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Does this match your experience? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely pretty good and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Uptown) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much pricey but now it's underrated.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Italian places. I have mixed feelings honestly.
