Is Monrovia good for remote workers?

So, Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $97,083 in Monrovia. Homes are going for about $891,700 on average. The median home value here is around $891,700, which is pretty steep. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely pretty good and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (South) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Old Town area are average. Kids love it here.
