Moving to Montgomery for work -advice?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a small town city with about 1,635 people. The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. Household incomes average around $26,797 in Montgomery. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Old Town. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in finance. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Hope this helps!.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
