Moving to Montpelier for work -advice?
Hi all, We have two kids and With a population of 1,444, Montpelier is a small town. The median home value here is around $77,100, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $649/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Should I be concerned? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
