We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $1,086 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a pharmacist, 45, moved here 14 years ago from Pittsburgh. I've lived in Highland and Lakewood, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Strong job market in several industries
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Active local events and festivals
4. The people are generally tough - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Winters are long and cold
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The walkability situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Highland: Great for singles. average vibes, walkable.
- Lakewood: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Pittsburgh, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $90K-$140K here.
**Final verdict:**
Feel free to reach out with questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The nightlife is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
