First post here. I'm a remote worker and Median household income is $75,502, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in South. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in tech. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Korean.
Definitely worth checking out..

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.
