Pros and cons of New Brighton after 15 years

Crime rate is something to consider -New Brighton sits at 134.4 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Used to live on the Fairview side, now on the Old Town side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The school system is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
