First post here. Crime rate is something to consider -Nolanville sits at 85.1 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. TIA! Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Nashville it's excellent.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Springfield. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in consulting. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Asian.
