How are the schools in North Bend?

Hi all, I'm a teacher here and Homes are going for about $306,600 on average. The median home value here is around $306,600, which seems about average. The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in West for 10 years. Moved from Atlanta for cost of living. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
finance is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor scene is tough - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. West schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Homeless population growing downtown. Bugs and humidity in summer. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 7/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I work in healthcare here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is challenging. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
