Best apartments in North Fair Oaks under ?

Anyone else feel this way? Been living here since 2014. The median home value here is around $1,209,600, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 4.7%, which is about average. Median household income is $106,690, which feels pretty solid for the area. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Friendly people
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Boring for young people
- Far from major airports
- Homelessness issues downtown
Am I overthinking this? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Highland area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Houston about 5 years ago. The main reasons were family and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Used to live on the West side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Boston it's average.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.
