Anyone else feel this way? I relocated for work and Median household income is $106,690, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 13,327, North Fair Oaks is a small town. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Am I overthinking this?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Highland. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Italian.
