Is North Highlands good for remote workers?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Crime rate is something to consider -North Highlands sits at 453.6 per 100K. Homes are going for about $344,900 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Should I be concerned?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Houston about 11 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are stable, gas is tough.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..
