How is the nightlife in North Salt Lake?

Came here for weather and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The pet-friendliness is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The food scene is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in West for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The outdoor recreation scene is solid
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

I've been here 9 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..
