North Salt Lake is underrated, change my mind

Longtime lurker here, I'm a 55-year-old firefighter and Median household income is $106,885, which feels pretty solid for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,613 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 12 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Old Town area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the Meadowbrook side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.
