Remote worker thinking about North Tustin

Crime rate is something to consider -North Tustin sits at 167.0 per 100K. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $186,250 in North Tustin. Homes are going for about $1,212,400 on average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 8 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 11 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely challenging and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
