Job market in Norton Shores for tech?

Hey folks, The median home value here is around $214,000, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 4.7%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $73,390, which feels about average for the area. It's a a small town city with about 25,000 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Has anyone dealt with this? The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Eastside for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- The food scene scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely average and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Pine Hills area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The school system is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..
