Hey everyone, Been living here since 2013. Household incomes average around $73,390 in Norton Shores. It's a a small town city with about 25,000 people. Poverty rate is 4.7%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $214,000 on average. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Is this normal for Norton Shores? TIA! The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.
I've been here 13 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
