Is Oak Harbor walkable?

So, Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Chicago about 9 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Seattle about 14 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Summers can be brutally hot

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is improving.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Hope this helps!.
