Is Oakland still affordable?

Been living here since 2023. With a population of 1,572, Oakland is a small town. Median household income is $66,202, which feels about average for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Am I wrong here? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Moved here from Dallas about 4 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to walkability but Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
