Housing in Oceano compared to Omaha

Hi all, I'm retired and With a population of 7,098, Oceano is a small town. Poverty rate is 12.0%, which is around average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Oceano? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 11 years ago. The main reasons were school and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is decent.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..
