Freelancing from Onalaska -experience?

Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Came here for work and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The school system is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
