Is Owenton a good place to live?

Anyone else feel this way? Rent is about $664/month for a decent place. Median household income is $52,121, which feels on the lower side for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Dallas it's better than expected.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Westside area are improving. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 9 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into running, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
